Excerpt | This article provides the reader with the first information on a hoard or a part of it made up of 380 unclean Late Roman bronze coins which discovery spot has not yet been identified (but which can be attributed somewhere to the Middle or Lower Danube area). The pieces were issued during the 4th century, the oldest being dated in the 320-330 A.D. period (a coin with a reverse type Providentiae Avgg or Caess, with campgate), and the most recent, from the 364-378 AD period (with the reverse types Gloria romanorum (8) and Securitas Reipublicae). |
