| Excerpt | The two authors present a gold coin found in the neighbourhood of the city of Buzău and which due to the expensive price required for it, was impossible to acquire. The stater presents a special interest due to the fact that it is a numismatic rarity issued by the Sarmatian king Pharzoius, being illustrative for the monetary circulation of the 2nd-1st century B.C, in the area between the Black Sea and Carpathian Mountains. |
