Abstract	The article’s main subject concerns the monetary circulation in the area of Dobrudja, during the 6th and 7th centuries. The author analyses the numismatic evidence, consisting of stray finds and hoards found in Dobrudja, in order to identify the influence of the Byzantine Empire in this specific area, through the monetary fluxes.
